TAMIYA RALT RT2 HART 420R 1980 VINTAGE KIT
¬â€
Released by Tamiya on February 14, 1980, the Ralt RT2 Hart 420R was based on the F2 alloy chassis.
In the 1979 European Formula 2 Championship, the original Ralt RT2 Hart 420R, driven by Brian Henton, attained 2nd place.
As ever Tamiya had paid much attention to the detailing of the original Ralt RT2 Hart 420R shell and enthusiasts agreed that the model was an attractive addition to the Tamiya range.
Assembly was relatively straightforward and to drive was comparatively reliable, if a little unexciting with the low powered RS-380S motors performance. Production of this model was short but parts were available to some degree due to the chassis being used for other Tamiya models. (see below)
The Ralt RT2 Hart 420R is one of the rarer Tamiya First 100 collector's models, but if you can find one its good looks will make it stand out from the rest.
