This O.S. Engine OS27721700 flywheel fixing nut is designed as a simple retention component for O.S. engine flywheels. Its purpose is to hold the flywheel in place during assembly, teardown, and bench tuning operations rather than to be a tuning component itself.

Installation notes: verify the nut seats flush against the flywheel hub and that threads are clean and undamaged before tightening. Use an exact-fit socket or wrench and apply steady torque, checking for any wobble after fitting. Follow any additional securing instructions provided in the engine's service documentation.

Maintenance and tuning role: the nut keeps the flywheel secured under normal running stresses and during tuning procedures. Inspect for thread wear, rounded flats, or corrosion and replace the nut if engagement looks compromised. While correct fastening supports consistent tuning checks, the nut does not change engine timing.
