This 1/72 scale plastic model kit reproduces the legendary British flying boat, the Short Sunderland Mk.I/II.
Special Hobby captures this iconic maritime patrol aircraft that served throughout World War II. The Mk.I entered service pre-war, while the Mk.II saw extensive operational use during the conflict.
Early variants featured a distinctively angled hull step and twin dorsal gunner positions; later Mk.II production aircraft incorporated a single dorsal turret configuration.
The aircraft's exceptional range and comprehensive defensive armament made it a formidable anti-submarine platform and capable adversary against Luftwaffe long-range fighters.
