The Koki 200 series is a container freight car that was introduced in 2000 to replace aging tank freight cars for transporting chemical products with ISO tank containers.

Cars manufactured after 2001 were equipped with a hand brake release indicator on the side of the car body, and the same device was later added to cars manufactured in 2000.
